In the spring and fall of each year, the OGMA provides a monetary award to a student enrolled in the apprenticeship program of the Finishing Trades Institute of Ontario in Vaughan, Ontario. The instructing staff selects recipients at the centre based upon criteria that includes displaying exemplary skills, aptitude and attitude along with a willingness to assist and share ideas with others. In 2022, the OGMA merged with the Architectural Glass & Metal Contractors Association (AGMCA) to increase the bursary to $1,000 twice a year.
